The Toyota Supra has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Supra’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the GranTurismo Folgore.

Both the Supra and GranTurismo Folgore offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Supra Auto has Parking Support Brake (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The GranTurismo Folgore’s Rear Cross Path doesn’t automatically brake.

The Supra offers optional Safety Connect™, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Supra and the GranTurismo Folgore have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available blind spot warning systems and rear parking sensors.

Toyota’s powertrain warranty covers the Supra 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Maserati covers the GranTurismo Folgore. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the GranTurismo Folgore ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The Supra’s corrosion warranty is 1 year and unlimited miles longer than the GranTurismo Folgore’s (5/unlimited vs. 4/50,000).

Toyota pays for scheduled maintenance on the Supra for 2 years and 25000 miles. Toyota will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the GranTurismo Folgore.

There are over 11 times as many Toyota dealers as there are Maserati dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Supra’s warranty.

For better maneuverability, the Supra’s turning circle is 6.6 feet tighter than the GranTurismo Folgore’s (34.1 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Toyota Supra may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1600 to 1800 pounds less than the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore.

The Supra is 1 foot, 10.7 inches shorter than the GranTurismo Folgore, making the Supra easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Supra has a larger trunk than the GranTurismo Folgore (10.2 vs. 9.5 cubic feet).

The Supra offers a remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer a remote starting system.
