For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Toyota bZ4X are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The VinFast VF 8 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the bZ4X are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The VF 8 doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

Both the bZ4X and VF 8 have rear cross-traffic warning, but the bZ4X has Parking Support Brake (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The VF 8’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

The bZ4X’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the VF 8’s (unlimited vs. 125000 miles).

Toyota pays for scheduled maintenance on the bZ4X for 2 years and 25000 miles. Toyota will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. VinFast doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the VF 8.

There are over 309 times as many Toyota dealers as there are VinFast dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the bZ4X’s warranty.

The bZ4X stops shorter than the VF 8:

For better traction, the bZ4X has larger tires than the VF 8 (235/60R18 vs. 225/55R19).

For superior ride and handling, the Toyota bZ4X has fully independent front and rear suspensions. An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The VinFast VF 8 has a rear torsion beam axle, with a semi-independent rear suspension.

For better maneuverability, the bZ4X’s turning circle is .6 feet tighter than the VF 8’s (40 feet vs. 40.6 feet).

For greater off-road capability the bZ4X has a 1.3 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the VF 8 (8.1 vs. 6.8 inches), allowing the bZ4X to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Toyota bZ4X may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1100 to 1150 pounds less than the VinFast VF 8.

For excellent aerodynamics, the bZ4X has standard flush composite headlights. The VF 8 has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.
